Under the auspices of the Governor of Jenin Governorate, Major General Akram Rajoub, the Environment Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the People’s Committee for Jenin Camp Services, more than 100 trees were planted in the Jenin camp, in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Jenin Governorate, Brother Kamal Abu Al-Rub, Abdul Majeed Madanieh, Director General of Local Government, Nidal Obeidi, the Director of the Directorate of Agriculture. Majed Al-Kharraz, Lama Jarad, Director of the Environment Quality Authority Office in Jenin Governorate, representatives of the People's Committee, Muhammad Al-Masri, Salim Al-Saadi, Farah Abu Al-Haija, Director of Jenin Camp Services, Suhair Khuzamiyeh, the Lest We Forget Association, and a number of representatives of the activities of the camp and the city The event started with a minute of silence with the reading of Al-Fatiha on the souls of the martyrs. The event started from the martyrs’ cemetery, which has a special symbolism. Then, Farha Abu Al-Haija, a member of the Jenin Camp Services Committee, spoke, pointing out the importance of this event and its connection to the land and the homeland, and that it comes in light of the difficult circumstances in which it lives. Jenin camp, emphasizing the importance of building a promising generation, educating them and empowering them towards the land and the environment This is as the Deputy Governor of Jenin Governorate, Kamal Abu Al-Rub, on the importance of devoting the concept of belonging to the land, stressing the importance of starting the event from the cemetery of the martyrs of Jenin camp. Pointing to the need to work hard with youth, children and women to enhance steadfastness. As for Lama Jarad, Director of the Environmental Quality Authority Office, she spoke about the importance of spreading environmental awareness among children and youth, and the importance of protecting the environment and natural resources as a form of struggle and strengthening the Palestinian identity. The conferees unanimously agreed on the necessity and importance of implementing many initiatives, activities and events in Jenin camp in support of the people of the camp.
