Lest We Forget Association finished a training course
Lest We Forget Association has completed the training of 15 women workers in the informal sector in Jenin governorate. This course aims to raise the level of awareness of women working in the informal sector.
Farha Abul-Heija, President of the Association, stated that this project is being implemented within the FEM PAWER program and is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs by a coalition of 4 women's rights organizations in the Middle East and North Africa led by the Swedish Women's Foundation (KTK) with The Arab Women’s Association (AWO) from Jordan, the Research and Training Group for Development Action (CRTSA) from Lebanon, and the Palestinian Working Women’s Association for Development (PWWSD) from Palestine.
The project includes a number of events and activities through which the group that received the training will reach a larger number of women who work in informal jobs through field visits and workshops in order to raise their awareness of economic rights.
