Lest we forget the conclusion of Yasser Arafat's camp
Lest We Forget the Yasser Arafat Camp concluded, in the presence of the association’s president, Farha Abu Al-Heija, members of the administrative board, the head of the popular committee for Jenin camp services, Major General Muhammad Al-Sabbagh, MP Shami Al-Shami, Salim Al-Saadi, a member of the popular committee, and a number of families of the children participating in the camp, in Nissan Park.
The ceremony began with reciting verses from the Holy Quran, then the national anthem, and reading Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs. Then Farha Abu Al-Hija, President of the Association, Major General Muhammad Al-Sabbagh, Chairman of the People's Committee for Jenin Camp Services, and Nermin Abu Tabikh, Director of Yasser Arafat Camp, spoke.
Farha Abu Al-Haijaa, head of the association, said that this ceremony is the conclusion of Yasser Arafat's summer camp, which targeted 60 children from Jenin camp, stressing the importance of this camp for its principles and national issues, foremost of which is the life of the martyred fighter Yasser Arafat Abu Ammar and the stages of struggle he lived through and the role he played in The launch of the Palestinian revolution, noting the importance and necessity of promoting these issues among Palestinian children.
Farha Abu Al-Hija, the association’s president, spoke about the association’s role in creating national awareness among children because they are the builders of the future and the youth of tomorrow, stressing that the association will remain an incubator for children and will do everything in its power to achieve the political rights related to them as children.
While Major General Muhammad al-Sabbagh, head of the People’s Committee for Jenin Camp Services, spoke about the sacrifices made by the late martyr Abu Ammar and about his symbolism and his connection to the revolution and the Palestinian cause. An incubator and present to support and support all institutions that carry a national vision and serve societal issues.
Narmin Abu Tabikh, director of Yasser Arafat camp, indicated that this ceremony is the result of the information that was presented during the camp regarding the Palestinian cause, as well as training and enhancing skills related to the participating children, stressing that this ceremony is the culmination of a joint work between Lest We Forget and the Yasser Arafat Foundation.
The ceremony included patriotic poems, lyrical paragraphs, dances and plays with national issues presented by the participating children.
