The People's Committee for Jenin Camp Services and the Association, Lest We Forget, organized an entertainment day for a number of elderly women from Jenin camp, which was attended by Brother Shami Al-Shami and members of the People's Committee, Dr. Ahmed Istiti, Salim Al-Saadi, Ibrahim Al-Damj, Sahar Al-Rakh, the association’s board of directors and the psychological support staff, in the Nissan Park of the People’s Committee. Farha Abu Al-Haijaa, head of the association, said that this event comes within the framework of supporting the elderly women in Jenin camp who suffer from difficult conditions, noting the importance of supporting and assisting this group because it is in dire need of support and follow-up, as through the implemented activities we tried to introduce a kind of entertainment and entertainment Also, it was an opportunity to exchange popular stories and stories related to Palestinian history, where a number of volunteers were present, in addition to the psychological support staff, which opened the way for them to return to the Palestinian history associated with the 1948 Nakba and daily life in those years, creating an atmosphere of awareness and knowledge. Elderly women are an important part of Palestinian history, especially for the younger generations. While Shami Al-Shami spoke about the importance of these activities, especially for elderly mothers, pointing to the importance of preserving their rights and the importance of providing the necessary support, whether health, psychological or social, pointing to the importance of the role played by this group years ago, which gave birth and raised the heroes, martyrs, prisoners and wounded, expressing his thanks to the Association and the People’s Committee .
