The People's Committee for Jenin camp services, Fatah movement, institutions and activities of Jenin camp celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the battle of Jenin camp and Land Day.
With the participation of the Governor of Jenin, Major General Akram Rajoub, Major General Muhammad al-Sabbagh, Chairman of the People's Committee for Services and member of the Revolutionary Council, Wafa Zakarneh, Secretary of the Fatah Movement of Jenin Province, Atta Abu Armila, representatives of the official civil and security institutions and the families of martyrs and prisoners. The event started with a march for children in front of the horse roundabout in the camp, passing through the lanes and alleys of the camp towards the martyr’s cemetery to read Al-Fatihah and lay a wreath of flowers in honor of the martyrdom of the heroes of the battle of Jenin camp and then head to Nissan Hall The event was inaugurated by standing for national peace and reciting Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of the homeland and a martyr worshiping "Dia Hamarsha", who rose yesterday after being shot by the brutal occupation while defending the homeland. Al-Sabbagh gave a welcoming speech in which he pointed to the need to preserve the legacy of the martyrs and the struggles of the prisoners and the wounded, and warned against tampering with the camp’s fate and behaviors that may contribute to distorting this name, which deliberately sheds the blood of the martyrs and the suffering of the prisoners, while Rajoub referred to the camp’s struggle role as a title Asylum and that the camps are waiting stations until return, while Massad Al-Ammar, who spoke on behalf of the families of the martyrs, stressed the importance of preserving the legacy of the martyrs, who shed their blood on the soil of Palestine, while Hazza Al-Saadi, who spoke on behalf of the prisoners, called on the Palestinian leadership and human rights institutions to move effectively to release the prisoners, especially the sick. who are they. The ceremony included artistic performances by the children of the Women's Activity Center, the Lest We Forget Association, and the Protection Squad Scouts of the Youth Social Center. At the end of the ceremony, the families of the martyrs from the camp, Jenin, villages and cities who participated in the battle were honored.
