Not to Forget Association and the Palestinian Consultative Committee in Jenin governorate carried out a series of awareness-raising workshops that targeted social activists and politicians in society, as well as media professionals and jurists, as part of the project “Promoting Women’s Access to Decision-Making Positions” funded by the Canadian government. Farha Abu Al-Haijaa, head of the Lest We Forget Association, stated that this project comes to support and support women, by making a change around the traditional image of women, as work is being done to change the pattern of thinking towards women candidates by using influencers, human rights defenders, media professionals and specialists to work all in their positions to change the reality of women In order to reach leadership and leadership positions, given that women constitute more than half of society and have the capabilities and capabilities, but there are many obstacles that prevent women from reaching. It is worth noting that the project will last for 6 months, during which women candidates for local bodies will be targeted, where they will be trained on many skills related to leadership, media discourse, electoral campaigns and other topics related to capacity building.
