The Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (Miftah) arranged a meeting on the subject of harassment against women in the social center for the rehabilitation of young people within the initiative of Voices for Change, which was done by Miftah in the northern West Bank as part of a project to strengthen and support young women leaders and funded by the Cultural Section at the U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem Farha Abu Al Haija started with a welcome speech, where provided an explanation of the projects and programs implemented by Miftah within the support and strengthen young leaders , which aims to strengthen the role of youth in social and political life so that they have a role in the change in the Palestinian society Rana Aamir, one of the participant, said that after training and rehabilitation, the subject of harassment against women was chosen because of the increase of this phenomenon, confirming that other meetings will be held in Jenin, Nablus and Tulkarm in order to shed light on the negative aspects of such a phenomenon. She also talked about the reasons of this phenomenon and mechanisms to reduce it, hoping that young people can change this phenomenon At the end of the meeting, the youth group discussed the mechanisms that can reduce this phenomenon, expressing their rejection of this thing , pointing to the need to raise awareness of families through the work of public meetings and programs
