Miftah Held A Training Course

Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (Miftah) held a training course on the law of the authorities and local councils in the hall of Farah TV, the course targeted members of local councils and in the presence of Mohammed Tzazaah, director of guidance and control in local governance, and Imad Salah, head of the department of formations and elections Farha Abu Al Haija, the coordinator of Miftah, started the course with a welcoming speech which indicated that this course comes within the framework of the program of support for local elections, stressing the importance of raising the level of awareness of members about the law of local authorities so that they can carry out their roles in a positive way Mohammed Tzazaah and Imad Salah talked about the importance of the presence of women as members of local councils and raising awareness about the law governing councils and local bodies , because this helps members get their rights limits any marginalization of the member and help to change the negative perception that women membrs are just to fill the number of members and do not have their rights as men do They also talked about the role of local government and its relationship to the local bodies and the importance of continuing with the Directorate of members of local government in order to be able to follow up the directorate of violations that may occur in some councils, stressing the importance of the partnership between government and civil institutions to strengthen the role of members of local councils
