Workshop on Gender and Gender-Based Violence
This workshop was organized in collaboration with UN Women and supported by the Government of Japan.
As part of the Emergency Response Project aimed at meeting the protection and livelihood needs of women and girls affected by the escalation in Jenin and Gaza, a workshop was organized in collaboration with UN Women and supported by the Government of Japan. The workshop focused on the concept of gender and gender-based violence, exploring the various types of violence under this framework. It also shed light on the concept of divorce in personal status laws and the importance of understanding these legal provisions.
The workshop was attended by 30 women of various ages, who received legal and psychological counseling to support and empower them. Additional workshops will be held to enhance awareness and provide ongoing support to women and girls.
