The workshop, titled The Roles of the Popular Committee Amid UNRWA Service Reductions, was conducted as part of the community awareness campaign led by Not To Forget.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Suleiman Bisharat, with the participation of Ms. Shaheera Bilbeisi, the project coordinator, Mr. Mohammed Abu Keshk, head of the Popular Committee, representatives of active institutions in the camp, and a group of active women.
The workshop addressed several key topics aimed at developing a plan to be discussed with other camps to amplify the collective voice against policies intended to end UNRWA services. The discussions focused on identifying the most affected groups, the programs most impacted by service reductions, and the necessary actions and activities to confront this challenge. Participants also explored effective methods and strategies to implement these actions, emphasizing the role of women in this context.
The workshop included interactive discussions from the participants. The formulated plan will be further developed and coordinated with other camps to combat the service reductions and eventually prevent the cessation of UNRWA operations.
