Bridges of Hope.. A new project to empower the youth of Jenin and its camp
In a realistic response to the challenges faced by the youth in the city and camp of Jenin, the "Never Forget" Association launched a developmental project named "Bridges of Hope" with the support of the French Consulate in Jerusalem. Project coordinator Mustahm Abu Salama mentioned that the project's goal is to empower young men and women in the city and camp of Jenin on professional, psychological, and legal levels, in response to the increasing challenges faced by the youth amid the difficult economic and social reality. She added that the project, in its first phase, targeted 80 young men and women to participate in professional and practical training in vital fields including men's hairdressing 💇, mobile phone maintenance 📱, car electricity 🧑🔧🚗, and home maintenance 🧰. These trainings are conducted in partnership with beauty and hairdressing salon owners, as well as the vocational training center affiliated with the Ministry of Labor. The association is currently preparing to launch the second phase of the projectekt, which focuses on targeting a group of young women in specialized training that contributes to enhancing their opportunities in the labor market and supporting their economic independence.
