Ongoing Jenin Incursion Since August 28, 2024

dear friends, As you know, the city and refugee camp of Jenin are currently experiencing a very intense Israeli incursion. A large part of the population is trapped in their homes in the camp under gunfire, explosions and very violent attacks accompanied by dogs attacking mothers and children. On the other hand, hundreds of families are deprived of food and basic needs. Now is the time to support our population. Not To Forget has always preserved its role in relief and is an address in the humanitarian aid. Not To Forget has always been there in the most difficult times and she will continue to seek the necessary funds to help her population within the camp. This is why we are asking you today. Your hand with us Project for Economic Rights Awareness

As part of the 'Your Hands With us' feminist project for economic rights, a dialogue session was conducted by the young leadership group with women working in the informal sector. This project is implemented by the 'Not to forget' Association in partnership with Palestinian working women. The session is a result of a series of training received by the young leaders on the importance of raising awareness about the economic rights of women working in the private sector. The session included various activities, such as interactive exercises and discussions on women's rights. It emphasized the significance of spreading awareness about economic rights through educating about labor laws and the importance of obtaining rights for women working in the informal sector.

Feminist Project for Economic Rights

The project is implemented by the "Not to forget" Association in partnership with Palestinian working women. The lesson learned from the first year of the project emphasized the integration of economic awareness and empowerment. The goal was to attract women and girls to attend awareness workshops and teach them skills that would help improve their economic lives. For example, a 3-month training program on making handicrafts was conducted, followed by a final exhibition where products were sold. This initiative enabled three women to start working on electronic marketing for their products. Additionally, 15 girls were trained in nail care and grooming, which garnered significant interest. Some of them qualified to work in beauty salons or pursue independent projects.

Not To Forget Organizes a Recreational Activity for Children in Jenin

As part of its initiatives supporting children's mental health, the Not To Forget Association organized a horseback riding activity, providing a unique opportunity to enhance the psychological and mental balance of participating children. Horseback riding helps reduce daily stress, promoting relaxation and reflection in nature. The activities on the second day of the "My Right" camp focused on the right to play, as play is considered an innate and essential need for children that cannot be ignored. Play is part of the process of mental and physical development. It is also the means by which children's behavior patterns are developed, helping them with social interaction, adaptation, and belonging. The "Not to Forget" Association emphasizes the importance of these initiatives in providing psychological and emotional support to children living in difficult conditions.
